TRSA recently hosted the CEOs and Executives of the industry’s largest companies in Washington, DC, following TRSA’s 14th Annual Legislative Conference. The meeting facilitated information sharing among leaders of the industry’s largest organizations. Representing both public and privately held companies, this group discussed macroeconomic impacts on their businesses and shared insights into trends, pressure points and opportunities in the industry.
TRSA recently hosted its 14th Annual Legislative Conference & Industry Awards Dinner in Washington, DC. The conference was bookended by a Supplier Partner Workshop on the front end and Annual Hill Day meetings between industry executives and key congressional representatives to close the conference.
TRSA kicked off the 14th Annual Legislative Conference with a workshop designed for supplier partners on April 9 at the Madison Hotel in Washington, DC. Ben Kniffen, CEO of LinkedSelling, led the session with over 50 attendees and offered skills and tools that enable placing the right message in front of the right person through the right channels, and how to develop a sales process that ties everything together.
NOVO Health Services’ Miami facility took home the TRSA Plant of the Year honor during the April 10 Industry Awards Dinner at the 14th Annual Legislative Conference in Washington, DC. This honor was bestowed among 60 awards to member companies and individuals present at the event in 11 categories of awards.
NOVO Health Services’ Miami facility is the 2024 honoree in TRSA’s Best Plants judging, recognizing the location for its efficiency and infection-prevention features, as well as its safety and ergonomics emphasis, a key to creating work conditions that promote employee retention.
Fifteen TRSA member operators have been honored with the association’s 2024 Fleet Graphics Award. The accolade acknowledges them for how their chosen images and text reflect their companies’ key attributes as linen, uniform and facility services providers. These qualities could include sustainability, hygiene, service timeliness, textile durability … whatever qualities of the organization the company seeks to portray.
Five TRSA member companies will receive 2024 TRSA Community Service Awards for significant contributions to their communities. These awards will honor those who’ve volunteered their time, actions, talents and dedication outside the workplace. TRSA will present these awards during an April 10 dinner at the 14th Annual TRSA Legislative Conference in Washington, DC.

Liz Remillong, a member of TRSA’s Board of Directors; and Kevin Schwalb, TRSA’s vice president of government relations, spoke at the Fall 2023 meeting of the National Academies’ Standing Committee on Personal Protective Equipment (COPPE) for Workplace Safety and Health on Dec. 14, where a key healthcare panel discussion was held focusing on opportunities to increase reusable PPE textiles in healthcare settings.
During TRSA’s 2023 Legislative Conference in Washington, DC, the focus of the legislative visits were to gain signatures for a congressional letter to send to the Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services Xavier Becerra. The letter asked Secretary Becerra to study the benefits of reusable personal protective equipment (PPE) in healthcare facilities and find ways to increase the amount of reusable PPE in healthcare operations.
