As part of its ongoing efforts to improve service and program management for members, TRSA recently named three entry-level managers to roles involved in conference planning, database maintenance and graphic design/communications projects. All three new hires served as TRSA interns before joining the association full-time.

Aramark Corp., Philadelphia, announced today that John J. Zillmer, a proven executive with a track record of driving market-leading business results, will return to the company as CEO, effective immediately. He also will become a member of the company’s board of directors, according to a news release.

Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee (R), Department of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Bob Rolfe and VF Corp. officials recently announced that the company will expand its footprint in West Tennessee. VF plans to expand its current workwear operations in Henning and locate a new manufacturing facility in Covington, investing nearly $7.5 million and creating over 220 new jobs, according to a news release.

Representatives from linen, uniform and facility services companies operating or servicing New York recently met to discuss legislative and regulatory issues impacting their businesses, as well as opportunities to increase engagement and value. While the focus was primarily on issues impacting New York, members tasked TRSA with developing a more “consistent” forum for gathering and sharing information regarding potential federal, state and local tax development and employment incentives, investment rebates, compliance and other opportunities to improve operations.

Aramark recently announced that it’s expanding its strategic relationship with Dickies, one of the largest providers of performance workwear, to provide customers with a wider assortment of premium Dickies apparel options for the industrial rental market, according to a news release. 

TRSA associate member Ecolab Inc., St. Paul, MN, recently announced that it has promoted Greg Thorsen to the role of senior vice president and general manager of the company’s Textile Care North America Division, according to a news release. Thorsen replaces Chris Smith, who moved into the position of senior vice president and general manager, Healthcare North America, at Ecolab.

Cintas Corp., Mason, OH, recently won a pair of awards at the 16th Annual International Business Awards®, also known as the Stevies, according to a news release. The winning campaign, “Ready for the Workday® – Selling Complex B2B Services in Human Terms,” won both a silver and a bronze award for B2B companies in the worldwide competition.

Gurtler Industries Inc., South Holland, IL, recently announced the addition of Bill Mitchell as regional vice president. Mitchell brings 22-plus years of experience in the laundry chemical industry to the role, according to a news release.
