A brochure is on its way to you in the mail explaining how TRSA’s upcoming Safety Summit will foster creative solutions to overcoming the most difficult obstacles the industry faces in eliminating injuries and illnesses. This color document contains a registration form for the May 21-22 Minneapolis meeting, where you are invited to discuss these facets of textile services operations and help develop industrywide strategies to address them:

  • Executive Management Support
  • Driver/Fleet Safety
  • Wash Aisle and Lockout/Tagout
  • Injury Prevention Programs
  • Ergonomics

Members of TRSA’s Safety & HR Committee will facilitate breakout sessions dedicated to each of these topics. This will enable the Summit (themed “Safer Together”) to capture the broadest range of ideas the committee has ever considered in recommending policy on industrywide improvement to the TRSA Board of Directors. The effort is expected to spawn TRSA programming such as best practices documentation, conference presentations, videos and other training resources.

A full day of sessions ending at 4:30 p.m. is planned for Tuesday, May 22, with a reception for arrivals from 5-6:30 p.m. the evening before. The host hotel for the event is the Hilton Minneapolis/St. Paul Airport – Mall of America, just three miles from the airport and one mile from the 4.2-million-square-foot mall, which has more than 50 restaurants and 2.7-million square feet of retail space.

Attendees must contact the hotel directly at 952.854.2100 to reserve a room by April 22 to receive the special TRSA event rate of $145per night (reference code: TRSA).After April 22, regular room rates apply.

A discount registration special is available online to textile services operators. When three people from the same company register together, the cost of a single registration is discounted. All participants must register at the same time and the offer is valid for only one use per group.
