UniFirst Corp., Wilmington, MA, launched the first of two dedicated company cohorts for the LevelUp supervisor training program. This initiative kicked off with a live webinar, marking the beginning of a comprehensive 90-day program tailored to address the unique challenges of UniFirst’s plant operations.
With 25 participants in each cohort, the program is set to run in both spring and late summer, providing customized course feedback that aligns with UniFirst’s culture. UniFirst is the second company to bring this program directly to their team, following K-Bro Linen Systems.
The LevelUp training program is designed to equip UniFirst team members with critical leadership skills for plant supervisors and managers. The program includes on-demand interactive training presentations, real-world learning scenarios, training videos, and interviews with laundry and uniform industry experts.
Leah Moretti, head of talent development at UniFirst, expressed her enthusiasm during the kickoff webinar. “We are so grateful to be partnering with TRSA through this program,” she said. “We have had some other leaders go through the program before and they talked highly about what they learned and what they got out of the program, so we’re looking forward to see the success this class will get out of the program.”
Brian Vollant, a regional vice president at UniFirst, also highlighted the significance of this initiative, saying that, “It’s exciting to see UniFirst continue to strengthen our commitment to developing our leaders and partnering with TRSA on this project. This is a big step by the company, and you can take a big step in your own division or location to keep developing yourself and keep influencing the people that surround you on your team through this program.”
Christopher Stammer, TRSA LevelUp Program Director, added that, “UniFirst’s commitment to invest in LevelUp for their people proves the value of this training. The results of those three participants in the LevelUp pilot essentially paid for UniFirst’s dedicated company classes. I am excited to see the tangible, real-world results that are achieved through their emerging leaders’ involvement in LevelUp.”
Operators interested in a customized program can contact Chris Stammer for more information. The next open sessions start on May 6 and May 13 for the Spanish language session. For more information and to register, click here.
