LevelUp, TRSA’s successful online supervisor and manager training program started in 2023, is expanding by offering company-only courses and pre-paid seats at a bulk rate. Start dates for 2025 classes have been set for companies that want to send one or a few team members. To date, over 125 people have enrolled in or graduated from the program.
“We know that different companies across the industry have different needs,” said Chris Stammer, who oversees the LevelUp program. “That’s why we moved to offer both cross-industry training classes and company-dedicated cohorts. This flexibility allows us to tailor our training to meet the specific challenges and goals of each organization, ensuring maximum impact and effectiveness.”
The 2025 start dates for “open-enrollment” sessions that are available for all operators from across the industry to register are May 6, Aug. 26, and Oct. 14. An additional Spanish language version of the course will launch on May 13.
The program enhances the skills of new and current supervisors in commercial laundry plants. It covers essential skills like communication, problem-solving, decision-making, team building and conflict resolution – all in the context of a commercial laundry operation. Participants learn to motivate teams, set goals and provide feedback, with a focus on safety, quality and productivity. Through ten 45-minute modules, interviews with industry leaders and applied assignments, trainees develop practical strategies to positively impact their teams and operations.
K-Bro Linen Systems Inc. celebrated the graduation of three experienced supervisors from LevelUp, inspiring the launch of a company-only class with 19 participants from 10 plants, which started in January. UniFirst also launched the first of two company cohorts with a live webinar, starting a 90-day program for 25 participants in each cohort, and tailored to UniFirst’s plant operations and culture.
TRSA members are being offered an early-registration discount with a $50 savings if they sign up for the May 6 class by April 22. Companies interested in a dedicated class or pre-paid discounted seats to be used over the year are encouraged to contact info@levelupinthelaundry.com.
