With Earth Day just around the corner on April 22, TRSA has launched several marketing initiatives to raise awareness about the sustainable benefits of the linen, uniform and facility services industry.
TRSA will air a 15-second video highlighting the industry’s reduced water consumption, boasting that commercial laundry saves 30 billion gallons of water annually compared to home laundering. “Our goal is to leverage paid media channels, including Google Display, YouTube and Meta platforms, to raise awareness about the industry,” said Cody Brazil, digital marketing manager at TRSA. The video skillfully blends scenes of laundry workers with visuals of nature and water, emphasizing the benefits of commercial laundry for both businesses and the environment.
The video will be broadcast on social-media platforms for three weeks in April, leading up to Earth Day. Its primary goal is to educate the public on the sustainable benefits of commercial laundry and drive traffic to LaundryServices.org where decision makers can use a directory to find a laundry provider in their area and learn more about sustainability in the industry.
To help laundry providers promote Earth Day and the sustainability benefits of commercial laundry, TRSA has developed an Earth Day marketing toolkit that includes downloadable infographics and videos. This toolkit provides free infographics and social media posts about how commercial laundries maximize sustainability and minimize their carbon footprint, and is available to all members free.
TRSA is encouraging members to share their stories about promoting sustainability within their companies through their social media, in celebration of Earth Day. Members are urged to use #TRSAEarthDay.
