Johnson Service (UK) CFO To Retire After 40-Plus Years

Yvonne Monaghan, CFO for the Johnson Service Group (JSG) a linen, uniform and facility services company based in Runcorn, England, announced her retirement after 17 years as CFO and more than 40 with the company, a leading operator serving customers across the United Kingdom. Ryan Govender of Treatt PLC, is expected to succeed Monaghan on Oct. 1, according to news reports.

“Yvonne will remain as CFO and a director of the company until the date of Ryan’s appointment,” according to a company news release. “At which point Yvonne will step down as CFO and as a director of the company but shall remain employed by the company until 28 February 2026 to initially complete a handover process with Ryan and, thereafter, be available to support JSG.”

Johnson CEO Peter Egan praised Monaghan’s service to the company and the record that he expects her successor will bring to the job as executive director and CFO. “Yvonne has been an outstanding CFO for JSG, and I want to thank her for everything she has done for the Group and for all the support she has given to me personally,” Egan said. “Yvonne has been instrumental in driving the success of the Group since her appointment as CFO in 2007, and she leaves us extremely well positioned for the future.” He added that, “I am delighted that Ryan will be Yvonne’s successor. Ryan is a highly experienced and commercial CFO with a proven track record of exceptional delivery. I very much look forward to working with him on the opportunities ahead.”

Govender’s background includes 20 years in senior finance roles across global fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) companies, especially in the food area, according to news reports. For example, his most recent employer, Treatt, is a global supplier of natural and synthetic ingredients used in various product, such as beverages and personal-care items. Treatt has operations in the U.S., the UK and China.
