John G. Dobrez, 66, the chair and CEO of Dober, including Spindle, a TRSA supplier partner, passed away on April 10.
He served for more than 25 years as the leader of Dober, Woodridge, IL. His leadership helped shape and grow the family business, leaving an indelible mark on all who worked with him, according to a news release. He led with empathy, integrity and deep respect – always striving to help others find joy in both work and life.
Survivors include Tammy, his wife of 42 years; sons John (Emily), Matt (Erin) and Nick (Lauren); plus grandchildren Elsie, Ada, Greta, Charlie and Bevan. Other survivors include a sister, Kathy; and brothers Tom, Dan, Scott and Chris. He was preceded in death by his brother Rick and by his parents, John and Joan Dobrez.
A funeral mass is scheduled for 10 a.m., May 7, at St. Isaac Jogues in Hinsdale, IL, followed by a celebration of life from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Butterfield Country Club, Oak Brook, IL. All who knew John are welcome to join in remembering and honoring his life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to The Village Door in Homewood, IL, and the Big Shoulders Fund.
