Plant/Maintenance Engineer
Non- Exempt: This position reports to the Plant/Production Manager.
Starting at $20-$22 per hour DOE
Daily:
1. Mechanically evaluate equipment for proper function and need for repair.
2. Check Gauges for proper function and/or adjustment.
3. Welding steel.
4. See that building and equipment meet the federal, state and local inspection requirements.
5. Order services, supplies and equipment necessary to fulfill responsibilities with Plant Manager’s approval.
6. Install, maintain and repair plant machinery and equipment safely.
7. Perform preventive maintenance on machinery according to daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly maintenance schedules.
8. Use the internet to research maintenance and repair procedures and order supplies.
9. Register meter readings for electric, water and gas.
10. Communicate with other departments to care for the necessary maintenance with the least possible disruption to schedules.
11. Maintain the highest energy conservation and safety standards as established.
12. Treat all department and team members with respect and a clear sense of teamwork.
14. Record keeping for all areas of responsibility.
15. Responsible for Fleet maintenance and scheduling.
Job Requirements:
- Mechanically inclined to include welding, industrial maintenance, factory mechanic, heavy duty mechanic, i.e.
- Must have a valid driver’s license, clean driving record and ability to be insured to operate company vehicle.
- Perform all functions relating to maintenance engineer.
- Work at a standard tool bench.
- Operate welder, grinder, electric drills, circular saw and reciprocating saw.
- Use basic hand tools such as hammer, screwdriver, etc.
- Repair items from floor to ceiling level.
- Climb up and down ladders and stairs.
- Listen for abnormal sounds from equipment.
- Move equipment in need of repair to maintenance area.
- Use dolly to transport heavy items.
- Use a forklift and scissor lift to unload freight from trucks or move items in plant.
- Drive company vehicles to and from repair shops.
- Communicate effectively with others.
- Maintain Budget effectiveness.

This position is for our San Antonio, TX Production Plant at 102 Fran St. San Antonio, TX. 78207.
Must be able to pass a DOT physical, drug screening, a clean MVR, and background check.

Pay: $20.00 – $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
